Welcome to my artwork site! I
live 20 miles south and east of Williston, North Dakota on a
ranch/farm. I am a self-taught artist who has been drawing,
illustrating and writing stories since the age of four. I attended a
one room school house which I believe afforded numerous opportunities to
use our creativity in writing, art and crafts as well as writing our own
plays and singing for the public. Those were the good old days which
few of my generation got the privilege to experience.
Living on a farm most of my
life, my main love has always been horses, to draw and paint but in more
recent years I forced myself to expand to do landscapes, other animals,
birds, flowers and people. My favorite way is to draw people with
pencil but I have had some success painting them now. I have strived to
become more versatile. I only use acrylics because I appreciate how
fast a painting can be dried, and varnished and ready to sell.
I have a full time job and along
with doing artwork, I enjoy gardening, and riding and working horses. I
like to keep busy but my sanctuary is the ranch I live on and it gives
me inspiration daily for my creativity as well as my faith.
